Working With Products

A product is anything we track in a store: apps, games, books and other content.

We give each product a unique product ID. It stays the same across all of Appfigures. We don’t use Apple IDs or package names internally. Those live in the product’s metadata.

We support stores for mobile, desktop and TV apps, including the App Store, Google Play and Xbox. See Supported Stores for the full list. Each product belongs to one store. Two properties identify that store: store_id and store_name.

Each store uses its own kind of ID for the products it distributes. Apple uses a 9-digit Apple ID. Google uses an alphanumeric package name. We save these as ref_no and sku, respectively.

To find a product by its store ID, get a list of all your products from the /products/mine route. Then loop through the list until you find the match.

A better approach: build a map of Appfigures product IDs to store IDs once, and reuse it across your app.
